![]() ![]() Standing together, we can create something of greatness … something larger than ourselves. When we see or think about people who differ from us, remember that every person has value. Alphabet soup is made of pasta and pure genius. Parents everywhere marvel at its simple complexity, having the power to transform meal time into fun family time and spelling class all at once. Alphabet soup probably takes the longest of all soups to eat, especially if you’re a kid. After all, who could sing “Twinkle Twinkle Little Star” without the tune of the “ABC Song?” Make yourself known in your world, and be ready to adapt. In fact, they are the most sung-about group on earth, with almost every preschool-aged child knowing their song. The letters of the alphabet are a proud assembly. ![]() Letters helped put a name to a face … and eventually, a face to salvation. With heaviness, some letters of the alphabet had to come together to form the name of “Judas.” But if that didn’t happen, human salvation would have been lost. But the alphabet shows us that they - and we - can all live together harmoniously, even though we are very different from each other. Peace begins with “P.” With 26 very different letters in the alphabet, there should be good cause for judgment and dissention among the ranks.But then, it is the flagship in front of some pretty scary words–like “queen,” “quantify” and “quadruplets.” Just because someone is unusual doesn’t mean they have less purpose. The letter “Q” isn’t seen in as many words as other letters. Cut to the chase and just put it out there already. Each word is spelled only a certain way - otherwise linguistic anarchy would prevail. Our vocabulary - and our lives - are only as exciting as we make them. With only 26 letters to work with, the alphabet could be thought of as less than exciting - and yet the dictionary is as thick as can be. No matter our lot in life, we gain more value by coming together with others to get a job done. Just because “A” comes at the front of the pack doesn’t mean “Z” isn’t just as important. Our placement doesn’t determine our value.People do many different jobs according to their skills and preferences, to make our worlds turn. The alphabet is made up of vowels and consonants–each with very different jobs, yet both necessary to form words. ![]() It’s important to know how to talk to people - when to be hard, and when to soften it up. Some letters have both a “hard” sound and “soft” sound. Each letter has its own job to do and its own value to bring to the table. Ironically, there is an “I” in the word “important.” Some people are just that way. It doesn’t show up in the word “team,” but not all characters need recognition to know their importance.
